Owner/Senior Master Stylist

Malinda O’Dell has over 25 years of experience behind the chair.  Malinda has been the salon director here at Grassroots for the last 18 years,2015 she was recognized as the Rocky Mountain Pacific Northwest Stylist of the year. 

Malinda is a certified color trainer for Aveda, as well as a licensed instructor for the State of Utah. Malinda has successfully instructed 7 wonderful women to become licensed cosmetologists, many of them currently work here at Grassroots. Behind the chair, Malinda is passionate about all things in the beauty industry. Specializing in color. Some skills are grey coverage, dimensional blonding, blonding, and extensions. 

When Malinda isn’t behind the chair, she is spending time with her husband and dog Finlee. Together Malinda and her husband have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Malinda loves spending her free time with her family, whether it be spending the summer on the lake or sitting around the kitchen table, being with her family is where she is happiest.
